Grown up in forced social isolation in extreme circumstances, Jimmy was only much later in his life able to choose a path in the arts. In some of his work, a deeper meaning or underlying story is hidden. In this form of narrative art, we see parts of his very unusual youth, which he spent in an extreme right-wing fundamental Christian foster family,  that considered the entire outside world as their enemy. Jimmy depicts themes such as identity and gender in relation to complete, violently forced alienation from gender, origin, and originality.

His work was shown to great interest at the first exhibition On the Edge in Maastricht - together with the Heerlen artist Jo Coort - and many of his works were sold. Between 2020 and 2024, Jimmy attended the art academies of Tongeren and Verviers and meanwhile studied parts of theoretical physics and the Arabic language to incorporate into his art. In the period 2020 to 2024, about 1200 works were made, mostly in pastel technique, acrylic paint, and mixed media.

From 2025, Jimmy decided to choose a more multimedia form to bring a deeper layering to his art. Here he is fully experimentally engaged in his first year project "Transition" consisting of 14 parts. In addition to multimedia, Jimmy is working on new works in watercolor. Jimmy lives as a minimalist and considers his art as part of a self-made Magic Paradise: a place where the impossible can exist.
