Trauma art 1992-1997 Strange Rituals from the Past 431 - 488
With a creative journey starting in 1992 with drawings of babies and toddlers, the tragic murder on the toddler James Bulger in February 1993, marked a deep (trigger) turning point in Jimmy's life. His life collapsed and between 1993 and 1997 in a three- year- period of reliving and flashbacks, about 450 works have been produced, mainly to externalize 'unfinished memories' and a deep bonding in the residential children's home "Helper Haven"in Groningen (1964-1965). The majority of the work has been destroyed in 2002. Photographs from the original collection.
