What I learn from Tim and little Jimmy

Tim and little Jimmy have taught me so much about insects. While out in the fields, I often find myself rescuing bugs from the cattle’s water tanks. These poor creatures fall in, struggling and waiting to drown, until little Jimmy urges me to save them. There is a genuine sense of joy in taking a simple stick to rescue such a tiny life. We lift them out of the water and place them on a leaf in the sun. Watching a creature spread its wings and fly toward a new future—saved, at least for now—is a wonderful feeling that we carry back home with us.
